CIT’s Department of Information Technology is inviting applications for  Instructors, Business Intelligence and Analytics.  The Instructor provides an enriching learning environment for students by using holistic and career-oriented teaching methods. By maintaining an organized structured and online classroom environment, the Instructor helps ensure that students are progressing effectively. The administration of assignments, tests, projects and exams will help students stay engaged and provide the Instructor with an accurate gauge of student success.

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience required

  • Experience in any of the following: ETL, Database, Analytics,OLAP, OLTP, etc

  • Master's education in computer/Information system, Business or related field

  • Teaching experience at the college level preferred

  • Committed to excellence in teaching and learning

  • Able to integrate industry, professional and life experiences into a classroom learning environment

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture and/or laboratory format based on the approved curricula

  • Implement and manage company policies and procedures such as attendance, grade reports,midterm reports, student advising forms, and all other assigned educational materials on a timely basis

  • Timely completion and submission of all grade books and marking of all tests, examinations and assignments

  • Participate in faculty/staff meetings, committee meetings, professional development workshops, graduation ceremonies, and other school functions as requested

•  Applicants must have an earned graduate degree in IS/IT/CS or a closely related field with a strong foundation in business applications development or Computer Networking.


•  Candidates must demonstrate potential for innovative and effective teaching with excellent communication skills. Candidates will be expected to teach in at least two of the following areas: large-scale data management, data visualization, Computer Networking, Application/Web Development, Six-Sigma Process Improvement, Security, or ERP/CRM.
•  Candidates are expected to do strong scholarly work leading to publications in high quality peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
•  Candidates must possess a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment, develop innovative learning experiences, support our students through the mentoring process
